Timeline of a startup journey is one of the important aspects I always look for in knowing and understanding a startup. Dipti Gore from TechStory and Rahul Rane of Megavenues understood this and developed an interesting website where you can make timeline easily and embed it on your site instantly, FireUp.
Dipti on ProductHunt said – “Our product enables you to record your startup journey in the form of a beautiful interactive timeline. There is so much that goes on in building a startup and all this information is not recorded anywhere. We wanted a handy link to share our startup journey with other startups, investors or even our family. So we created Fireup !”
There is a catch here, they’re trying to build a social network here. All the update made by the accounts will be shown on the homepage. You can follow specific accounts, where you will get the notifications – same as Facebook. You can also private message them or follow their social accounts.
It’s been a long since I saw the site, plenty of noticeable and useful features have been added. The most important is the sidebar on the homepage showing ‘Editor Picks’ and Categories to sort the popular new updates and categories (Image above). It is quite useful. Others are just bugs, but nice.
They got a good response from ProductHunt community as well, check over here.
Ok, let’s see what’s in it for a user. After signing up, it goes straight into adding your timeline. They got pretty simple UI, click on the first box – you can add an image, title, description, date and tags (No Video!). It will arrange all the cards in order. You can even embed this cards on your site, just hover over the profile button and click on developers. Specify the size of the card and get the code- paste it on your site and voila.
Also each update you created will be pushed to the homepage and anyone clicking on this post can view the details, comment, favorite it or share to social media.
Check UnplugTech’s profile (I’m working on adding more details). Let me know what you think about this startup.
